Distilling Game Mechanics
into Concentrated Fun

Pseudoscience Interactive is a small indie team from Hamburg, Germany. We make nifty development tools for the Unreal Engine, and also games, of course.

Tools

Our ultimate productivity tools for the Unreal Engine 5 editor.

The PSI Property Spreadsheet is a spreadsheet-style table view for Unreal Engine 5. This editor-only plugin allows you to sort, filter, and bulk-edit all your asset and gameplay data directly in the Editor.

The PSI Advanced Tag Display is an editor-plugin for the Unreal Engine 5 that gives you more control over Gameplay Tags, from assigning colors to tag categories to restricting variables in Blueprints.

Game

The cool thing we came together for as a dev team. Currently in early development.

Alchymia is a medieval 2D management roguelike about fighting zombies, saving the kingdom, and – most importantly – alchemy!

What we do

As developers, our focus lies in the constant improvement of our workflows as well as the development of tools. Our goal is to create games with high replay-ability and an emphasis on game mechanics.

How we got here

Our story began back in 2020 when co-founder Julia Reberg started the game project Alchymia and got admitted to the very first Games Lift Incubator program organized by the Gamecity Hamburg initiative. At that time Philipp Okoampah was already involved in the project, but it would take until 2022 for us to officially join forces, when we successfully applied for the Prototype Funding, also by Gamecity Hamburg.

As off December 2024, we are proud recipients of the Press Start: Games Founding Grant.
